Healthcare Session
The development of medicine, an ageing population, and the associated increasing costs present the greatest challenges today for the healthcare sector. Infocommunication solutions can help us improve the effectiveness of the healthcare supply system and further patient care. In the healthcare session solutions that support these objectives will be presented.
Interview with line director Richárd Bende (Healthcare)
How does T-Systems Hungary contribute to the improvement of Hungarian healthcare?
T-Systems Hungary assigns high priority to healthcare. No wonder: in the course of the years, our predecessor companies had accumulated considerable knowledge and experience in this field. We are extremely proud of it and will do anything in order to meet the challenges ahead of us.
Me and my colleagues frequently talk about the accurate place of healthcare IT in the world of Hungarian healthcare, and we think that after a long-long time, perhaps the opportunity has come for us to contribute to filling the gap, in a way, by our activity in the healthcare cooperation area that has also been dreamt by the government.
We pondered a lot about the technologies and potential solutions that take it into account that this sector has always been short of funds. Healthcare work is complex and varied. Naturally, the participants must focus primarily on healing, but they also have numerous social and scientific tasks and we cannot disregard the latter. These solutions must be created in a cost-efficient way, subordinated to the purpose of improving efficiency in institutional operation and treatment.
What experience and capabilities does T-Systems Hungary have in healthcare?
The financial basis of this world of healthcare is provided by four large Hungarian medical universities. Through its predecessor companies, T-Systems Hungary has been a partner to these institutions for one and a half decades, and thus we have enormous experience in the problems and challenges faced by healthcare in Hungary. However, we do not only think in Hungarian perspectives: our solutions extend across the borders, they are international, as they meet the European Union’s standards.
What kinds of lectures can the invited guests expect at this year’s Symposium in the healthcare session?
We will present, for instance, T-Health Solution, our healthcare software, and we will talk about drótKÓRHÁZ (“wireHOSPITAL”), a portal that contains healthcare and prevention services for professionals and non-professionals alike.
